1. About the Strategy Marketplace
The Strategy Marketplace lets members sell and buy trading strategy configurations built in the Strategy Lab.
- What is sold: a strategy configuration (the settings of a Strategy Lab strategy), delivered into the buyer's Strategy Lab library. It is software content, not a signal service, a managed account or advice.
- Our role: Summit Strategy AI runs the platform and collects payment on the seller's behalf. We do not create, check, endorse or guarantee any strategy a member lists.
- Each sale is an agreement between the buyer and the seller. These terms set the rules both sides agree to by using the Marketplace.
2. Who Can Use It
- You must have an account and be at least 18.
- Buying, selling and reviewing need an active membership. Signed-in non-members can browse listings but cannot check out, list strategies or post reviews.
- Sellers must give accurate payout details and tell us if they are acting as a business rather than a private individual.
- We may refuse, suspend or remove any listing or account that breaks these terms, the main Terms of Service or the law.
3. Not Financial Advice
Every listing is general information about how a strategy performed in a historical backtest. Nothing on the Marketplace is a personal recommendation or financial advice.
- Backtests are hypothetical. They do not fully include real-world slippage, spread changes, commissions or swaps, and past results do not predict future results. The Risk Disclosure applies to every listing.
- Some listings also show forward-tracking figures from the seller's own trading account. These are past results too and do not predict future results.
- Buyers decide for themselves whether to use a strategy, on which account and with what risk settings. Test on a demo account first.
- Sellers must not give personal recommendations, promise or imply profits, returns or prop firm pass rates, manage anyone's account, or run a signal or copy-trading service through the Marketplace.
- Prop firm rules: some firms ban copy or group trading and may flag accounts trading the same strategy. Buyers must check their firm's rules (Terms of Service section 9).
- Listing a strategy under these terms is allowed sharing and is not a breach of Terms of Service section 10 (acceptable use).
4. Buying a Strategy
You can buy a strategy once (one-off) or subscribe to it monthly, depending on how the seller prices it. Some listings are free.
- Price: set by the seller and shown in GBP before you pay. Payment is through PayPal. We never see your full card details.
- Your confirmation: before checkout you must tick a box confirming that you have read the risk warning, that the strategy is not advice, and that you want it added to your library straight away (see section 6). We record the time and IP address of that confirmation.
- What you get: a personal, non-transferable licence to use the strategy in your own Strategy Lab and on accounts you own. It is copied into your library at the version you bought.
- Figures are locked: a listing's performance figures are copied automatically from the seller's saved Strategy Lab backtest when the strategy is listed. After that they can only change when the seller publishes a new version; they cannot be edited on the listing.
- Monthly subscriptions: renew automatically each month through PayPal until you cancel. Cancelling stops future payments, and you keep access and updates until the end of the month you have paid for. After that you stop receiving new versions; the version already in your library stays there.
- If your membership ends: strategies you have bought stay in your library. Using the Strategy Lab needs an active membership, so you can use them again when you rejoin. When your membership ends, we cancel your monthly strategy subscriptions so they stop billing; the month you have already paid for still runs to its end.
5. Updates & Versions
- Sellers can publish new versions. A new version never changes what is already in your library.
- When a new version is published, buyers on an older version are notified and can choose to sync it into their library.
- Each version carries its own locked backtest figures.
- If a listing is removed, buyers keep the versions already in their library. Monthly subscriptions to that listing are cancelled (normally within a day) so they stop billing; the month already paid for runs to its end.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
Strategies are digital content supplied straight away, so the 14-day cancellation right works differently from the membership.
- Digital content: at checkout you ask us to add the strategy to your library immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once it is there. This does not affect your rights if the strategy is faulty or not as described.
- Not as described: for example, if the listing's figures were not from a genuine backtest of that strategy. Contact support. We may refund you and remove the listing.
- Trading results are never grounds for a refund. This includes losses, drawdowns, breached evaluations or a strategy performing worse live than in its backtest.
- After a full refund or a chargeback, the strategy is removed from your library and cannot be bought again through checkout. Contact support if you believe this is wrong.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method through PayPal.
7. Selling a Strategy
You can list only original strategies you built and saved in your own Strategy Lab. Strategies you bought cannot be resold.
By listing a strategy you promise that:
- you created it, or have the right to sell it, and it does not copy someone else's work;
- its saved backtest is a genuine Strategy Lab result for that exact strategy, and you have not altered, edited or manipulated its figures in any way;
- your title, description and screenshots are accurate, include no guaranteed or implied profits, returns or pass rates and no "risk-free" claims, and comply with the UK CAP Code; and
- you will not ask buyers to trade, pay or communicate off-platform about the purchase.
Other seller rules:
- Versions are add-only. You can publish new versions but cannot edit or delete past ones, or change a version's figures.
- Figures come from the Strategy Lab. They are copied from your saved backtest when you list a strategy or publish a version. Any attempt to alter them, or to list a strategy whose figures did not come from a genuine Strategy Lab backtest of that exact strategy, breaks these terms.
- You set the price. Price changes apply to new purchases only. A monthly price change creates a new plan for new subscribers.
- Breaches can lead to removal of the listing, reversal of earnings and closure of the account.
8. Seller Fees & Payouts
Summit Strategy AI keeps 15% of every Marketplace sale and the seller earns 85%. The split is calculated automatically on each payment.
| Item | Rule |
|---|---|
| Platform fee | 15% of each sale or monthly subscription payment |
| Seller earnings | 85%, added to your seller balance when the payment completes |
| Monthly subscriptions | 85% of each paid month |
| Refunds and chargebacks | Your share of that payment is taken back from your balance |
| 14-day hold | Earnings from each payment can be withdrawn 14 days after it was made |
| Approval | Every payout is reviewed and approved by one of our co-founders before it is sent |
| Minimum payout | £50 |
| How payouts are sent | Requested in your dashboard, then sent by us through PayPal (or another method if we agree one with you) |
- Why the hold: it covers refunds and disputes, for example a listing found to be misleading. The same hold applies to the affiliate programme.
- Payout timescale: we aim to send approved payouts within 5 working days of your request.
- Taxes: sellers are independent and responsible for their own income tax, VAT and any reporting.
- We may hold payouts for longer while investigating fraud, a misleading listing, a dispute or a chargeback.
9. Reviews
- Only verified buyers of a strategy with an active membership can review it: one review per buyer per listing, up to 1,000 characters. You can update your own review.
- Reviews must be honest and based on your own use. No reviews of your own listings, paid or swapped reviews, abuse or personal data.
- We may remove reviews that break these rules. We do not edit reviews to change their meaning.
10. Content Rules & Removal
We can remove any listing, review or account that breaks these terms, without notice where the breach is serious.
- Not allowed: misleading figures or descriptions, copied strategies, martingale or grid strategies presented as low-risk, contact details or links that move buyers off-platform, and anything unlawful.
- Buyers can report a listing to support. We aim to respond within 5 working days.
- If we remove a listing for misleading figures, we may refund buyers and reverse the seller's earnings for those sales.
11. Intellectual Property
- Sellers keep ownership of their strategies. By listing, a seller gives Summit Strategy AI a licence to host, display, deliver and promote the strategy and its figures (including on our website and Discord), and gives each buyer the licence described in section 4.
- Buyers may not resell, share, publish or redistribute a purchased strategy, or use it to run a signal service.
- The Strategy Lab, its building blocks and the Marketplace software remain ours.
12. Liability
Terms of Service section 14 (limitation of liability) applies to the Marketplace.
- We are not responsible for a strategy's live performance, trading losses, breached evaluations or a seller's statements.
- Sellers are responsible for their listings and indemnify us against claims caused by a breach of section 7.
- Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Changes
We will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the dashboard before material changes to these terms or the fee split take effect. Purchases already made keep the terms they were bought under.
